BALLET AND BEYOND ~ Harnessing the cosmic energies

It's never too late to learn to move and dance.  Roudolf Kharatian’s classes for adults—beginners to advanced—are a great way to keep fit and improve posture, flexibility, balance and coordination in a positive social environment.

Program: The class will offer background information about ballet and uncover some of its hidden and invisible aspects.  You will learn how ballet movements can create a magical atmosphere and discover how the numerous mind-body benefits of regular ballet practice are similar to those provided by yoga and meditation.  These concepts are incorporated into a full ballet class, with the focus on improving mental clarity, increasing self-awareness and control, and strengthening your general well-being.

In addition to improving dance technique, adult classes are an enjoyable and satisfying way to increase flexibility, coordination and overall physical fitness. Ballet exercises at the barre, in the centre, and moving across the floor, will help you improve balance, alignment and muscle tone; using Kharatian’s breathing techniques you will learn how to focus and direct your energy to your extremities, and improve your spatial coordination for jumps and turns.  As an added benefit, during class you will have the unique opportunity to try ballet movements that can connect you with the greater cosmic energies.
